Terms of Use

Last updated: 19 September 2026

This text is a draft and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. The fields in square brackets will be completed before publication.

1. Who provides the service

HypeUP (the "App") is operated by [COMPANY NAME] ([ADDRESS], MERSIS: [MERSIS NO], email: [SUPPORT EMAIL]). In this text "we" means that company and "you" means the person using the App.

The App is a sports social network: it offers content sharing, team management, athlete matchmaking, second-hand listings and the ability to send product requests to brands. Some features require a paid package.

2. Accepting these terms

By creating an account or using the App you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the App.

If we change these terms, we will announce material changes inside the App before they take effect. Continuing to use the App after the announcement means you accept the new terms; if you do not, you can delete your account.

3. Your account and account types

You are responsible for the security of your account. Do not share your password; actions taken from your account are attributed to you. Tell us immediately if you notice unauthorised use.

The information you provide must be accurate. You may not impersonate anyone or open an account on someone else's behalf without their authority.

The App has different account types (user, player, coach, staff, club, collaboration/media). Your account type can change through actions such as accepting an invite or entering a coaching relationship; which features you can reach depends on your account type and your package, if any.

4. Age and minors

You must have legal capacity to use the App. If you are under eighteen you may use the App only with the knowledge and permission of a parent or guardian, and you must use the store's parental approval mechanisms (Apple "Ask to Buy", Google "Family Link") to make purchases.

The App does not collect dates of birth. If we determine that an account does not meet the age requirement we may suspend or close it.

For the in-person meetings arranged through matchmaking, also read section 11: minors should not meet people they do not know without a parent or guardian present.

5. Subscriptions and purchases

All digital sales in the App are made through the App Store or Google Play. The purchase contract is between you and that store; payment, billing, currency and price display are governed by the store's rules. We never see or store your card details.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel through the store. You must cancel from the store account you bought the subscription with; deleting your account in the App does not cancel the subscription.

No free trial is offered. Upgrades take effect immediately under the store's proration rules; downgrades start at the end of the current period.

If a payment fails, your package privileges continue during the store's three-day grace period and we show a warning inside the App. If payment still fails at the end of that period, the package privileges close.

Your subscription belongs to the HypeUP account it was purchased on. Signing in to a different HypeUP account with the same store account does not move the subscription.

Refunds are governed by, and made by, the store. If a store refunds a purchase we close the related access immediately. Because digital content is delivered immediately, the right of withdrawal under distance-contract legislation is limited in scope; your rights under consumer legislation are reserved.

6. Packages and feature access

You can see which feature belongs to which package on the package screen in the App. Buying a package grants access to the features that package defines; it does not promise a particular outcome (followers, views, finding a match, or a place in the rankings).

If your package ends, your account and your data are preserved: your posts, followers and history are not deleted. Only package-bound privileges (team mode, matchmaking, statistics, league, advertising and the like) close, and they return when the package is renewed.

We may change what packages include and what they cost. We will announce a material adverse change before it takes effect; if you do not accept it you can cancel your subscription through the store.

7. Ad credits and boosting

Ad credits are one-off purchases used to boost your own content inside the App. A credit is not a means of payment: it cannot be converted to cash, transferred to another account, or used outside the App.

Campaigns you create are reviewed by us before they go live. We may reject a campaign, or stop a running one if it breaches the content rules. For rejected, cancelled or expired campaigns, the unused budget is returned to your credit balance; the refund is made in credits, not in cash.

Every boosted item is labelled "Sponsored". Complying with the legislation on the identifiability of commercial communication, and the lawfulness of the content you boost, are your responsibility.

We do not use third-party ad networks and we do not track you across apps. Targeting is based only on the sport in the viewer's profile.

8. Club accounts and team data

A club account represents the club itself and is subject to the club management subscription. Whoever opens a club account declares that they are authorised to act on the club's behalf.

The club account and the staff it authorises can manage team content such as the roster, invites, sub-teams, training, assignments, documents and videos. The club is responsible for all data it uploads about its members.

Health data deserves particular care: notes and documents containing information about injuries, treatment, nutrition or similar health matters must be uploaded only with the explicit consent of the athlete concerned and shared only with those who need it. Obtaining and keeping that consent is the club's responsibility.

If the club subscription ends, team features keep working for members; only management actions (invites, sub-teams, staff permissions, advertising) are locked.

9. Content rules

You are responsible for the content you share. You may not share:

  • Sexual content, nudity or obscenity.
  • Incitement to violence, threats, harassment, bullying, hate speech; degradation based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or similar characteristics.
  • Insults, defamation, or attacks on personal rights.
  • Content that infringes someone else's intellectual property or personal data; sharing another person's photograph or health information without permission.
  • Illegal goods and services, gambling, drugs, doping substances, weapons, counterfeit goods.
  • Misleading content, spam, automatically generated content, or anything intended to manipulate engagement.
  • Any content that puts minors at risk.

When you share content you grant us a non-exclusive right to use it in order to operate the App, display it, process it technically (resizing, format conversion, caching) and boost it at your request. You keep ownership of your content. That right ends when you delete the content; removal from technical backups and from records we are legally required to keep may take time.

10. Moderation and enforcement

Uploaded images and videos are scanned automatically. If the scan detects explicit sexual content, the content is rejected automatically; in borderline cases the content goes to human review and is not published until a decision is made. Sportswear such as swimsuits and bikinis is not within this scope and is not rejected.

Text such as comments, captions, listing descriptions, usernames and profile fields is checked against a list of inappropriate expressions; on a match the text cannot be submitted. Private messages are not subject to this text check.

If you believe an automated decision is wrong, you can contact [SUPPORT EMAIL]; your request will be reviewed by a person.

Where the rules are breached we may remove content, restrict access to features, suspend your account or close it. The severity of the measure reflects the nature of the breach; for serious and obvious breaches (in particular content involving minors) we close the account directly and notify the competent authorities where required.

11. Matchmaking and meeting in person

Matchmaking is a listings board that introduces athletes to each other. We do not organise the meeting; the place, the time, the conditions and the safety arrangements are determined by the participants.

We do not verify users' identity, age, health, insurance, level or sporting competence. It is for you to judge whether what the other person says is accurate.

Before meeting: if you are meeting someone for the first time, prefer a public and busy venue, tell someone close to you where you will be, check that the facility and equipment are suitable, and do not take part if your health does not allow it. Minors should not meet people they do not know without a parent or guardian present.

The number of listings one person can keep open at the same time is limited, and listings close at the end of the chosen day.

12. Sport and the risk of injury

Sport carries an inherent risk of injury. The App also covers contact and combat sports such as boxing, kickboxing, wrestling and judo. These sports carry a risk of serious injury.

You take part in training, matches, contests and any physical activity by your own decision and at your own risk. It is your responsibility to make sure your health allows it, to obtain medical clearance where necessary, and to use appropriate protective equipment.

Save for the mandatory provisions of the law, we are not responsible for injuries, health problems, financial loss or disputes arising from activities that follow contacts made through the App. The App does not provide medical, coaching or health advice; content in the App is not a substitute for examination by a doctor.

13. Match results, rankings and the league

Match results rest on what both sides of the contest declare. If the declarations do not agree, the result is void and is not added to the rankings.

Behaviour intended to manipulate the rankings or league points (arranged matches, false result entries, use of multiple accounts, automated engagement) is prohibited. Where we detect such behaviour we may correct results and points, remove entries from the rankings, and take measures against the accounts involved.

The rankings and the league are not a competition, a prize draw or a game of chance; no prize is promised in return for taking part.

14. Market and Pazar

The Market section lists products from brands. A request you send from there is an order form; the sales contract, delivery, invoicing, warranty and returns are between you and the brand concerned. We are not a party and we do not collect payment.

The Pazar section is a space where users share second-hand listings. The content of a listing, the condition of the item, its price, delivery and payment are entirely between the seller and the buyer. We are an intermediary service provider: we do not inspect the items listed, broker the sale, or provide payment or escrow services.

Items whose sale is prohibited or restricted by law (weapons, drugs, doping substances, prescription medicines, counterfeit goods, stolen property and the like) may not be listed. We remove unlawful listings that are reported to us or that we detect.

For purchases involving a meeting, the safety guidance in section 11 applies here too.

15. Messaging

Private messages are between the participants. We do not routinely review message content, and private messages are not subject to the inappropriate-expression filter.

That does not mean messaging is without rules: harassment, threats, fraud and unlawful content are prohibited in messages too. When you report a message or a user, we may access the relevant conversation in order to assess the report. You can block a user who is bothering you.

Where a competent authority makes a request in due form, we are obliged to share the information the legislation requires.

16. Collaboration (media) accounts

You can apply for a collaboration account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your application; any document you upload for verification is used only for the assessment and is deleted the moment a decision is made.

Acceptance of applications is at our discretion. Accounts with a player, coach or club identity cannot move to this status. We may withdraw the status if its conditions cease to hold or if the rules are breached.

17. Closing your account

You can delete your account from the settings inside the App. After deletion your profile and content become invisible to other users and your identifying information is anonymised. Your username is reserved for a period so that it cannot immediately be taken by someone else and cause confusion. Deletion does not cancel your subscription: you must cancel that separately through the store.

Where these terms are breached, where use is unlawful, or where behaviour threatens the security of the App, we may suspend or close your account. In less serious cases we warn you first where we can.

No refund is made for unused subscription time or ad credits when an account is closed; your rights under consumer legislation are reserved.

18. Provision of the service and limits of liability

We make reasonable efforts to provide the App without interruption or error; however the possibility of outages, maintenance, data loss or defects cannot be eliminated entirely. We may change what a feature does, or remove a feature.

We are not responsible for content produced by users, for relationships between users, or for the consequences of contacts made through the App.

Our liability is limited to the extent the mandatory provisions of the law allow. Damage arising from our intent or gross fault, and the rights granted by consumer legislation and by the provisions on personal rights, fall outside this limitation.

19. Governing law and disputes

Turkish law applies to these terms.

If you use the App as a consumer, you may bring disputes before the Consumer Arbitration Committees or the Consumer Courts at your place of residence according to the applicable monetary thresholds; that right is reserved.

For disputes arising from use that does not qualify as consumer use, [COMPETENT COURTS AND ENFORCEMENT OFFICES] have jurisdiction.
